London's Calling

After a delay to our flight from Singapore to London (we had to wait for the slow Sydney flight to catch up) we finally made it to Heathrow and our first day in London.

We navigated the tube for the first time (Melbourne's rail services could learn a thing or two) and checked in at the Thistle Euston.  Our day was to begin, we headed into London to collect our passes and explore.  We came across a small pub in Leicester Square where we enjoyed our first meal in big Old London city.

After walking around Trafalgar Square and many other areas we finally managed to get on the hop on hop off bus tour, which took us to the main landmarks around London.

After our very long 1st day in London we ended with an evening ride on the London Eye, which has the most spectacular views of London.

Leaving on a big jet plane...

London calling... Our big trip starts now.  Vic and Dave's wedding awaits.  We have checked in, cleared customs, claimed our GST and had a feed.  Now our chariot awaits ready for us to board.
